Dedicated Dealers Cenk Efe – MD Baxter Marine

Tell us about Baxter Marine and what’s special about the services you provide to your yachting clients.

We are well known on Mallorca for our attention to detail and our focus on quality. Those are two of our core values and we always endeavour to be as straightforward and transparent as possible. Established in ’94, Baxter Marine was one of the first businesses to open up in Puerto Portals and today we offer new and brokerage boat sales, charter sales, berthing, boat maintenance and servicing, as well as yacht-management support, for owners with yachts in South West Mallorca and Palma.

Tell us about your relationship with Pearl Yachts and your thoughts on being part of the Pearl family.

We are proud to have represented Pearl throughout Spain since ‘02. And we are proud to be part of a Pearl family that really cares and shares the same philosophy. Our aim is to deliver yachting excellence. I attend Pearl Yachts’ management meetings regularly and always make sure that our owners’ interests are properly represented, that their voices are always heard and their opinions and feedback considered, not simply as regards the construction of their boats, but also when we discuss new models.

Why are Pearl Yachts models especially suited to clients in your region?

We are lucky to be in the right place at the right time with the perfect product. Each Pearl reflects the people that bring them to life. Pearl’s management team is thoroughly professional. Pearl’s naval architects and interior designers are among the very best in the world, Pearl’s production teams are hugely experienced and properly motivated to exceed customers’ expectations. And Pearl dealers like us are dedicated to ensuring our clients enjoy the very best ownership experience. That’s a recipe for success anywhere!

What are your top tips for cruising in and around Mallorca?

Mallorca is a truly fabulous island and being able to engage with it from the sea is a real privilege. Our crystal-clear waters are literally every shade of blue, from lightest, brightest turquoises of the shoals to the rich depths of midnight. We have pristine beaches, many of them secluded, and dizzying cliffs, all with stunning backdrops, from dark forests to the rocky splendour of the Sierra de Tramontana, the mountainous spine than stretches between the island’s south-west and north-east corners. Super anchorages provide the very best waters for diving, swimming or simply boat watching, some with fantastic cafes and restaurants just a tender-ride away. The neighbouring Balearic islands of Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera can be reached in around four hours at a fast-cruise. Nearer still is Cabrera, the largest tiny island in a small archipelago of outstanding natural beauty that lies just to the south of Mallorca and only just over an hour’s fast-cruise from the exclusive berths of Puerto de Palma, Puerto Portals and Port Adriano.
