Max Marine Asia hand over another Stingray Rib

Another Stingray RIB (rigid inflatable boat) from South Africa was handed over to its new owner Craig Hodson from Krabi this month by Max Marine Asia in Phuket.

Since recently becoming Thailand’s dealer of this brand of Hypalon RIB, Max Marine Asia have sold no fewer than seven RIB’s in the four months since December 2010.

Craig Murphy, Managing Director at Max Marine Asia said, “We have been very impressed by the performance of the Stingray hulls, especially on the bigger boats upto 7.5m, and in the rougher seas we have been experiencing this high season in Thailand!”

“We (Max Marine Asia and Sunseeker Thailand) are using the 6.2m Searaider model as our chase boat for clients, which has a Suzuki DF175 outboard engine.  It performs extremely well with speeds in excess of 42knots.”

“In choosing a new RIB brand, we considered not only value for money, but also strength, build design, hull shape and of course performance.”
